For the third consecutive year, Venezuela recorded growth in shipments abroad of spices, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced decline. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, spice exports soared to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, saw a abrupt decrease. The exports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
Exports by Country
The United States (X tons), Rwanda (X tons) and South Africa (X tons) were the main destinations of spice exports from Venezuela, together accounting for X% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the United States (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports by Country
In 2022, India (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of spice to Venezuela, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, spice imports from India exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Vietnam (X tons), twofold. China (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
