Chile (60 units), Venezuela (55 units) and Costa Rica (33 units) were the main destinations of safety headgear exports from Uruguay, with a combined 83% share of total exports. The Dominican Republic, Paraguay and Trinidad and Tobago lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 15%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Paraguay (with a CAGR of -4.4%), while the other leaders experienced a decline.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Venezuela stood at -27.9%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Costa Rica (-32.2% per year) and Chile (-35.6% per year).

The average safety headgear export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, jumping by 15% against the previous year. Overall, export price indicated a modest increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +1.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period.
