China (X tons) was the main destination for cattle hide and skin exports from the United States, accounting for a 65% share of total exports. From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to China amounted to -7.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: South Korea (-13.1% per year) and Mexico (+3.5% per year).

In 2021, the average cattle hide and skin export price amounted to $X per ton, growing by 96% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 1,149%. The export price peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.
