These countries were followed by Denmark, Ireland, Canada, the U.S., Belgium, Pakistan and Madagascar, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2019, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Madagascar (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, France ($X), Germany ($X) and Denmark ($X) appeared to be the largest markets for pyrethrum and peppermint exported from the UK worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports. Ireland, Canada, the U.S., Portugal, Madagascar, Belgium and Pakistan lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average pyrethrum and peppermint export price stood at $X per tonne in 2019, dropping by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a pronounced curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 when the average export price increased by X% year-to-year. As a result, export price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. From 2011 to 2019, the growth in terms of the average export prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was the U.S. ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Pakistan ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2018, and then contracted notably in the following year.
