Potato Market Size in the United Arab Emirates

Exports peaked at X tonnes in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2019, exports failed to regain the momentum.

In value terms, potato exports skyrocketed to $X in 2019. Overall, exports, however, recorded a prominent increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2012 with an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, exports reached the peak of $X. From 2013 to 2019, the growth exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Malaysia (X tonnes) was the main destination for potato exports from the United Arab Emirates, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, potato exports to Malaysia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Kuwait (X tonnes), twofold.

From 2007 to 2019, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to Malaysia totaled +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Kuwait (+X% per year) and Seychelles (+X% per year).
