The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Japan (X tonnes), Uganda (X tonnes) and Switzerland (X tonnes) were the main destinations of extracts of tea exports from the United Arab Emirates, together accounting for X% of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Switzerland (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Japan ($X) remains the key foreign market for extracts of tea exports from the United Arab Emirates, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was occupied by Switzerland ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by India, with a X% share.

For the third year in a row, the United Arab Emirates recorded decline in supplies from abroad of extracts, essences and concentrates of tea or mate, which decreased by -X% to X tonnes in 2020. Overall, imports, however, posted a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tonnes in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2020, India (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of extracts of tea to the United Arab Emirates, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, extracts of tea imports from India exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the UK (X tonnes), threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Germany (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2020, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from India totaled +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the UK (+X% per year) and Germany (+X% per year).
