In 2021, supplies from abroad of chlorides (excluding ammonium chloride) decreased by -24.9% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after three years of growth. Overall, imports, however, posted modest growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 93% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, chlorides imports fell slightly to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern.
