Exports from Ukraine

In 2022, after five years of growth, there was significant decline in overseas shipments of fibreboard, when their volume decreased by X% to X cubic meters. In general, exports showed a perceptible slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X cubic meters, and then plummeted in the following year.

In value terms, fibreboard exports dropped sharply to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a slight decline. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then fell sharply in the following year.

Exports by Country

Poland (X cubic meters), the Czech Republic (X cubic meters) and Romania (X cubic meters) were the main destinations of fibreboard exports from Ukraine, together comprising X% of total exports. Germany, Moldova, Italy, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Serbia, Finland, Estonia and Slovakia lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X%.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of fibreboard decreased by X% to X cubic meters for the first time since 2015, thus ending a six-year rising trend. Overall, imports recorded a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X cubic meters in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
