Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, agricultural and forestry tractor exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, showed a dramatic slump. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 149%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the exports failed to regain momentum.
Exports by Country
Belarus (X units) was the main destination for agricultural and forestry tractor exports from Ukraine, with a 41% share of total exports. Moreover, agricultural and forestry tractor exports to Belarus exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Netherlands (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Romania (X units), with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume to Belarus amounted to +38.3%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Netherlands (+81.7% per year) and Romania (+27.7% per year).
In value terms, the largest markets for agricultural and forestry tractor exported from Ukraine were Belarus ($X), the Netherlands ($X) and Bulgaria ($X), together accounting for 44% of total exports. Romania, Poland, Moldova, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Turkey and Iraq lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 52%.
In terms of the main countries of destination, Croatia, with a CAGR of +219.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the average agricultural and forestry tractor export price amounted to $X per unit, which is down by -19.1% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a perceptible decrease. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 38%. Over the period under review, the average export prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bulgaria ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Belarus ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Croatia (+144.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Ukraine
In 2021, supplies from abroad of agricultural and forestry tractors was finally on the rise to reach X units after two years of decline. Over the period under review, imports enjoyed strong growth. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, agricultural and forestry tractor imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a temperate increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of agricultural and forestry tractor to Ukraine, accounting for a 63% share of total imports. Moreover, agricultural and forestry tractor imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belarus (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Japan (X units), with a 3.9% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to +12.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Belarus (+2.2% per year) and Japan (+3.0% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X), Belarus ($X) and China ($X) appeared to be the largest agricultural and forestry tractor suppliers to Ukraine, with a combined 61% share of total imports. Germany, the UK, Japan and Poland lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 23%.
In terms of the main suppliers, the UK, with a CAGR of +23.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The average agricultural and forestry tractor import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 44% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, showed a pronounced contraction. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per unit), while the price for Poland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by China (+7.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced mixed trend patterns.
