In 2021, supplies from abroad of polishes and creams for wooden furniture and floors decreased by -12.1% to X tons, falling for the fourth year in a row after two years of growth. Over the period under review, imports saw a deep contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 31% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, wooden furniture treatments imports amounted to $X in 2021. Overall, imports showed a abrupt descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 31%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
Canada (X tons), China (X tons) and Mexico (X tons) were the main suppliers of wooden furniture treatments imports to the United States, with a combined 69% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Turkey, Denmark, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy, which together accounted for a further 26%.
