The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. The exports peaked in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, exports of frozen pig meat other than cuts or carcases skyrocketed to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, total exports indicated strong growth from 2007 to 2020: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, exports increased by +X% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2020 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

China (X tonnes) was the main destination for exports of frozen pig meat other than cuts or carcases from the United States, with a X% share of total exports. The third position in this ranking was occupied by South Korea (X tonnes), with a X% share.

These countries were followed by Australia, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Honduras, Canada, Taiwan (Chinese), Vietnam and the Philippines, which together accounted for a further X, with a CAGR of +X%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The average export price for frozen pig meat other than cuts or carcases stood at $X per tonne in 2020, stabilizing at the previous year. Over the last thirteen years, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 an increase of X% y-o-y. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. From 2015 to 2020, the the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination: the country with the highest price was Japan ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Honduras ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Colombia (+X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the U.S.
In 2020, supplies from abroad of frozen pig meat other than cuts or carcases decreased by -X% to X tonnes, falling for the second year in a row after seven years of growth. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed notable growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tonnes in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, imports of frozen pig meat other than cuts or carcases reduced rapidly to $X in 2020. In general, imports, however, showed measured growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2020, imports failed to regain momentum.

Canada (X tonnes), Mexico (X tonnes) and Poland (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of imports of frozen pig meat other than cuts or carcases to the United States, with a combined X% share of total imports. Denmark, Brazil, the Netherlands and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Brazil (+X%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
