Exports from the U.S.

In 2022, shipments abroad of cigars, cheroots and cigarillos decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2015, thus ending a six-year rising trend. Overall, exports showed a pronounced curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then declined remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, cigars and cigarillos exports dropped dramatically to $X in 2022. In general, exports saw a deep downturn.
