Exports from the U.S.

In 2022, shipments abroad of chromates, dichromates and peroxochromates increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. In general, exports, however, faced a sharp reduction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, chromates exports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by X%. The exports peaked at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

Mexico (X tons) was the main destination for chromates exports from the United States, accounting for a X% share of total exports. Moreover, chromates exports to Mexico exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Netherlands (X tons), twofold.
