Watermelon Market Size in Turkey

From 2007 to 2019, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Germany amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (+X% per year) and Bosnia and Herzegovina (+X% per year).

In 2019, the amount of watermelons imported into Turkey contracted rapidly to X tonnes, which is down by -X% against the previous year. Overall, imports continue to indicate a precipitous descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2019, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, watermelon imports contracted rapidly to $X in 2019. Over the period under review, imports recorded a drastic downturn.
