Greece (X tons) was the main destination for uncoated kraft liner exports from Turkey, with a 56% share of total exports. Moreover, uncoated kraft liner exports to Greece exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Georgia (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Bulgaria (X tons), with a 6.9% share.

In value terms, Greece ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for uncoated kraft liner exports from Turkey, comprising 54% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Georgia ($X), with a 13% share of total exports. It was followed by Bulgaria, with a 6.6% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value to Greece totaled +22.7%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Georgia (+43.3% per year) and Bulgaria (+47.5% per year).

In general, imports, however, saw a pronounced shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 when imports increased by 20%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, uncoated kraft liner imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, the United States (X tons) constituted the largest uncoated kraft liner supplier to Turkey, with a 38% share of total imports. Moreover, uncoated kraft liner imports from the United States exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Russia (X tons), twofold. Poland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 16% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from the United States amounted to -8.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Russia (+6.2% per year) and Poland (+9.4% per year).
In value terms, the United States ($X) constituted the largest supplier of uncoated kraft liner to Turkey, comprising 35% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Russia ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Poland, with a 16% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from the United States amounted to -6.2%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Russia (+9.3% per year) and Poland (+13.2% per year).
