The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by X% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
Exports by Country
China (X units), France (X units) and Austria (X units) were the main destinations of thermostat exports from Turkey, together accounting for X% of total exports. The Czech Republic, Brazil, Spain, Germany, Iran, Russia, Romania, Uzbekistan, Hungary and Belarus lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Belarus (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, France ($X), China ($X) and Romania ($X) were the largest markets for thermostat exported from Turkey worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports. Spain, Russia, Germany, Hungary, Belarus, Austria, the Czech Republic, Brazil, Iran and Uzbekistan lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
Among the main countries of destination, Hungary, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
In 2022, the average thermostat export price amounted to $X per unit, remaining relatively unchanged against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price saw a perceptible slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 an increase of X%. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Romania ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Uzbekistan ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Romania (X%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey
In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of thermostats, when their volume decreased by X% to X units. In general, total imports indicated notable growth from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of X% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by X%. Imports peaked at X units in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
In value terms, thermostat imports reduced to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of X% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.
Imports by Country
In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest thermostat supplier to Turkey, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, thermostat imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), more than tenfold. Italy (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Germany (X% per year) and Italy (X% per year).
In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of thermostats to Turkey, comprising X% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Italy ($X), with a X% share of total imports. It was followed by France, with a X% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from China stood at X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (X% per year) and France (X% per year).

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while the price for Luxembourg ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
