Imports into Turkey
In 2021, purchases abroad of mica increased by X% to X tonnes, rising for the third consecutive year after three years of decline. Overall, imports continue to indicate prominent growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of X%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by X%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, India (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of mica to Turkey, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, mica imports from India exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tonnes), more than tenfold.
