Exports from Turkey

In 2019, overseas shipments of lard stearin, lard oil, oleostearin, oleo-oil and tallow oil decreased by -X% to X tonnes, falling for the third year in a row after four years of growth. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2011 when exports increased by X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, exports hit record highs at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2019, exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, oleo oils exports reduced to $X in 2019. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2019, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Iraq (X tonnes) was the main destination for oleo oils exports from Turkey, with a approx. X% share of total exports.
