Average prices varied somewhat for the major overseas markets. In 2020, the highest prices were recorded for prices to Iran ($X per tonne) and Russia ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Italy ($X per tonne) and Greece ($X per tonne) were amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Russia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, supplies from abroad of flat-rolled products of iron or non-alloy steel was finally on the rise to reach X tonnes for the first time since 2016, thus ending a three-year declining trend. In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2020, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
