These countries were followed by Viet Nam, Iran, Greece, Uzbekistan, Serbia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkmenistan, Malaysia and Pakistan, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Viet Nam (+X% per year), while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Iran ($X), Azerbaijan ($X) and South Africa ($X) were the largest markets for carboxylic acid exported from Turkey worldwide, together comprising X% of total exports. As a result, export price reached the peak level of $X per tonne. from 2009 to 2020, the growth in terms of the average export prices remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Iran ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Iraq ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Malaysia, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into Turkey

In 2020, supplies from abroad of carboxylic acid with alcohol, phenol, aldehyde or ketone functions was finally on the rise to reach X tonnes for the first time since 2016, thus ending a three-year declining trend. Overall, imports enjoyed a tangible expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2010 when imports increased by X% year-to-year. Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, carboxylic acid imports rose markedly to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a notable increase from 2007 to 2020: its value increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years.
