The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2008 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Exports peaked at X units in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2020, exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, t-shirt exports reduced to $X in 2020. In general, exports, however, saw a mild descent. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, exports reached the peak of $X. from 2009 to 2020, the growth exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Japan (X units), the U.S. (X units) and Belgium (X units) were the main destinations of t-shirt exports from Thailand, together comprising X% of total exports. Tanzania, Germany, China, Burkina Faso, Singapore, Myanmar, South Korea and the UK lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Myanmar (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for t-shirt exported from Thailand were the U.S. ($X), Belgium ($X) and Japan ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. China, Germany, Tanzania, the UK, South Korea, Singapore, Myanmar and Burkina Faso lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X (+X% per year) recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average t-shirt export price stood at $X per unit in 2020, which is down by -X% against the previous year. Over the last thirteen-year period, it increased at an average annual rate of +X%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when the average export price increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, export price reached the peak level of $X per unit, and then declined dramatically in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Belgium ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Burkina Faso ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, t-shirt imports contracted to $X in 2020. Overall, imports, however, recorded a strong increase.
