Exports from Thailand

For the third year in a row, Thailand recorded growth in overseas shipments of slag wool, rock wool and similar mineral wools and mixtures, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, mineral wool exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports recorded a resilient expansion. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

Vietnam (X tons) was the main destination for mineral wool exports from Thailand, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, mineral wool exports to Vietnam exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Japan (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tons), with an X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume to Vietnam stood at X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Japan (X% per year) and Lao People's Democratic Republic (X% per year).
