Hazelnut Market Size in Thailand

In value terms, the largest markets for hazelnut exported from Thailand were Viet Nam ($X), Malaysia ($X) and Australia ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports.

Among the main countries of destination, Viet Nam saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2019, the country with the highest price was Viet Nam ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Qatar ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

In 2019, approx. X tonnes of hazelnuts were imported into Thailand; leveling off at the year before. Overall, imports continue to indicate significant growth. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2019 and are likely to see steady growth in years to come.
