Alcohols Market Size in Thailand

In 2018, Saudi Arabia (X tonnes), Trinidad and Tobago (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes), the U.S. (X tonnes), Malaysia (X tonnes), Germany (X tonnes), Russia (X tonnes), Singapore (X tonnes), Iran (X tonnes), Taiwan, Chinese (X tonnes), Venezuela (X tonnes) and Belgium (X tonnes) were the key exporters of alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives in the world, constituting X% of total export.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by Malaysia, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Germany ($X), Saudi Arabia ($X) and the U.S. ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2018, together accounting for X% of total exports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Singapore, Trinidad and Tobago, Taiwan, Chinese, Malaysia, Belgium, Russia, Iran, Venezuela and Thailand, which together accounted for a further X terms of the main exporting countries, Malaysia experienced the highest growth rate of exports, over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2018, the alcohols export price in Thailand amounted to $X per tonne, increasing by X% against the previous year. Overall, the alcohols export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2011 when the export price increased by X% year-to-year. In that year, the export prices for alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives reached their peak level of $X per tonne. From 2012 to 2018, the growth in terms of the export prices for alcohols and their halogenated, sulphonated, nitrated or nitrosated derivatives remained at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per tonne), while Venezuela ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

Thailand imports peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.
