Canned Mushroom Market Size in Switzerland

In 2019, the Swiss canned mushroom market decreased by -X% to $X, falling for the fifth consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, consumption continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2009 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2012 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, exports hit record highs at $X in 2008; however, from 2009 to 2019, exports failed to regain the momentum.

Austria (X tonnes) was the main destination for canned mushroom exports from Switzerland, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, canned mushroom exports to Austria exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Italy (X tonnes), sixfold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Germany (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2019, the average annual growth rate of volume to Austria amounted to +X%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Italy (+X% per year) and Germany (-X% per year).
