Serbia (X units) was the main destination for lawn mower exports from Switzerland, accounting for a 63% share of total exports. Moreover, lawn mower exports to Serbia exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Bosnia and Herzegovina (X units), sixfold. North Macedonia (X units) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 5.8% share.

In value terms, Germany ($X), France ($X) and Serbia ($X) were the largest markets for lawn mower exported from Switzerland worldwide, together accounting for 66% of total exports. The Netherlands, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 11%.
In terms of the main countries of destination, the Netherlands, with a CAGR of +51.4%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average lawn mower export price stood at $X per unit in 2022, declining by -37.4% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, enjoyed a moderate expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 130% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per unit in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Serbia (+10.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After two years of growth, overseas purchases of mowers for lawns, parks, golf courses or sports grounds decreased by -1.6% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a mild decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 24%. Imports peaked at X units in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, lawn mower imports shrank to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.2% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest lawn mower supplier to Switzerland, with a 55% share of total imports. Moreover, lawn mower imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X units), fivefold. Japan (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.4% share.

Among the main suppliers, the Czech Republic, with a CAGR of +41.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average lawn mower import price stood at $X per unit in 2022, reducing by -3.7% against the previous year. Over the last decade, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.2%. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 an increase of 18% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2020 to 2022, the average import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Hungary (+13.1%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
