Fig Market Size in Sweden

The UK (X tonnes) was the main destination for fig exports from Sweden, with a X% share of total exports. Moreover, fig exports to the UK exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Latvia (X tonnes), threefold. The third position in this ranking was occupied by Finland (X tonnes), with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the UK was relatively modest. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Latvia (+X% per year) and Finland (+X% per year).

Overall, the export price indicated a modest expansion from 2007 to 2018: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last eleven years. Fig imports into Sweden amounted to X tonnes in 2018, remaining constant against the previous year. In general, fig imports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X% y-o-y. In that year, fig imports attained their peak of X tonnes, and then declined slightly in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of origin; the country with the highest price was Italy ($X per tonne), while the price for Saudi Arabia ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
