Imports peaked at X tonnes in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2018, imports failed to regain their momentum.

In value terms, coconut imports totaled $X in 2018. Over the period under review, coconut imports, however, continue to indicate a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2009 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, coconut imports attained their peak figure at $X in 2017, and then declined slightly in the following year.

In 2018, Cote d'Ivoire (X tonnes) constituted the largest coconut supplier to Sweden, with a X% share of total imports. Moreover, coconut imports from Cote d'Ivoire exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the Philippines (X tonnes), twofold. Germany (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
