Over the period under review, broken rice imports reached their peak figure at X tonnes in 2010; however, from 2011 to 2018, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, broken rice imports stood at $X in 2018. Overall, broken rice imports, however, continue to indicate buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2008 with an increase of X% y-o-y. Over the period under review, broken rice imports attained their peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

Belgium (X tonnes), the Netherlands (X tonnes) and Thailand (X tonnes) were the main suppliers of broken rice imports to Sweden, with a combined X% share of total imports. Italy lagged somewhat behind, comprising a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of imports, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Italy, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
