These countries were followed by Algeria, Portugal, Belgium, Germany, Israel, Morocco, Luxembourg, Tunisia and South Korea, which together accounted for a further X 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of exports, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Tunisia, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Prices varied noticeably by the country of destination; the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to South Korea ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2018, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Germany, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

Over the period under review, polyvinyl chloride imports attained their maximum at X tonnes in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, polyvinyl chloride imports stood at $X in 2018. Over the period under review, polyvinyl chloride imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2018, Portugal (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of polyvinyl chloride to Spain, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, polyvinyl chloride imports from Portugal exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, France (X tonnes), threefold. Venezuela (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.
