Orange Juice Market Size in Spain

Over the period under review, orange juice imports reached their maximum at X tonnes in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2018, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

The Netherlands (X tonnes) ranked third in terms of total imports with a X% share.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Belgium stood at +X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Mexico (+X% per year) and the Netherlands (+X% per year).

In value terms, the largest orange juice suppliers to Spain were Mexico ($X), Belgium ($X) and Brazil ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports. These countries were followed by the Netherlands, Costa Rica, Ghana, Germany, Portugal and Egypt, which together accounted for a further X the main suppliers, Ghana experienced the highest growth rate of imports, over the last eleven-year period, while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2018, the average orange juice import price amounted to $X per tonne, dropping by -X% against the previous year. Overall, the orange juice import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the average import price increased by X% year-to-year. The import price peaked at $X per tonne in 2011; however, from 2012 to 2018, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2018, the country with the highest price was Costa Rica ($X per tonne), while the price for Egypt ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.
