Acyclic Hydrocarbons Market Size in Spain

In value terms, acyclic hydrocarbons exports contracted notably to $X in 2020. Over the period under review, exports saw a abrupt slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when exports increased by X% year-to-year. Over the period under review, exports attained the maximum at $X in 2007; however, from 2008 to 2020, exports remained at a lower figure.

China (X tonnes), Thailand (X tonnes) and Italy (X tonnes) were the main destinations of acyclic hydrocarbons exports from Spain, with a combined X% share of total exports.

From 2007 to 2020, the biggest increases were in Thailand (+X% per year), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Thailand ($X), China ($X) and Italy ($X) were the largest markets for acyclic hydrocarbons exported from Spain worldwide, with a combined X% share of total exports.

Thailand (+X% per year) recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2020, the average acyclic hydrocarbons export price amounted to $X per tonne, growing by X% against the previous year. In general, export price indicated a buoyant expansion from 2007 to 2020: its price increased at an average annual rate of +X% over the last thirteen years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2020 figures, acyclic hydrocarbons export price increased by +X% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2008 when the average export price increased by X% y-o-y. The export price peaked in 2020 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2020, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per tonne), while the average price for exports to Morocco ($X per tonne) was amongst the lowest.

From 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to the Netherlands, while the prices for the other major destinations experienced mixed trend patterns.

Imports into Spain

In 2020, imports of acyclic hydrocarbons into Spain dropped rapidly to X tonnes, waning by -X% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports continue to indicate a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tonnes, and then shrank dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, acyclic hydrocarbons imports declined notably to $X in 2020. Overall, imports recorded a deep setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when imports increased by X% y-o-y. Imports peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2020, imports remained at a lower figure.
