Net Fabric Exports

Exports in Southern Asia

In 2022, shipments abroad of tulles and other net fabrics was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, exports saw strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, net fabric exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

India represented the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which reached X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Bangladesh (X tons), committing a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Sri Lanka (X tons) and Pakistan (X tons) - each accounted for a X% share of total exports.
