The South Asian tin bar market contracted slightly to $X in 2022, remaining stable against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Imports by Country

India was the largest importer of tin bars, rods, profiles and wires in Southern Asia, with the volume of imports recording X tons, which was near 80% of total imports in 2022. Sri Lanka (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Pakistan (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 17% share of total imports. Bangladesh (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
