India was also the fastest-growing in terms of the rare gases (excluding argon) exports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. While the share of India (X p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, India ($X) also remains the largest rare gases supplier in Southern Asia.

The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations being observed in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by X%. The volume of import peaked at X cubic meters in 2018; afterwards, it flattened through to 2022.
In value terms, rare gases imports rose markedly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports saw resilient growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
In 2022, India (X cubic meters) was the main importer of rare gases (excluding argon), achieving X% of total imports. Afghanistan (X cubic meters) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Bangladesh (X cubic meters). All these countries together took near X% share of total imports. Nepal (X cubic meters) followed a long way behind the leaders.
India experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of rare gases (excluding argon). At the same time, Nepal (X%), Afghanistan (X%) and Bangladesh (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Nepal emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Southern Asia, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2022.
