Exports in Southern Asia

In 2022, overseas shipments of crude palm oil increased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when exports increased by X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, crude palm oil exports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a measured increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, India (X tons) represented the key exporter of crude palm oil in Southern Asia, creating X% of total export.
