Exports in Southern Asia

For the third year in a row, Southern Asia recorded growth in overseas shipments of labels of paper or paperboard, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, exports showed a prominent increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to see gradual growth in the near future.

In value terms, paper label exports soared to $X in 2022. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of X% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

India was the key exporting country with an export of about X tons, which reached X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Sri Lanka (X tons), constituting a X% share of total exports. Bangladesh (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
