Cauliflower And Broccoli Exports

Exports in Southern Asia

After two years of growth, shipments abroad of cauliflower and broccoli decreased by X% to X tons in 2022. In general, exports, however, enjoyed a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then declined dramatically in the following year.

In value terms, cauliflower and broccoli exports dropped dramatically to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, India (X tons) was the major exporter of cauliflower and broccoli, committing X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Bangladesh (X tons), making up a X% share of total exports. Afghanistan (X tons) took a minor share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, average annual rates of growth with regard to cauliflower and broccoli exports from India stood at X%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the export price increased by X%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Bangladesh ($X per ton), while India ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cauliflower and broccoli imports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, imports saw significant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
