Exports in South-Eastern Asia

In 2022, overseas shipments of wooden furniture for kitchens decreased by X% to X units for the first time since 2014, thus ending a seven-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum at X units in 2021, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, wooden kitchen furniture exports rose significantly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded strong growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

Vietnam (X units) and Malaysia (X units) dominates exports structure, together comprising X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X units), committing a X% share of total exports. The following exporters - Indonesia (X units) and Cambodia (X units) - each resulted at a X% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Cambodia (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The volume of import peaked at X units in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, wooden kitchen furniture imports fell sharply to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, posted a prominent increase.
