Unwrought Tin Alloys Exports

Exports in South-Eastern Asia

In 2023, approx. X tons of unwrought tin alloys were exported in South-Eastern Asia; growing by X% on the year before. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, unwrought tin alloys exports shrank to $X in 2023. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2023, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Exports by Country

Malaysia (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) represented roughly X% of total exports in 2023. Thailand (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by the Philippines (X tons). All these countries together took approx. X% share of total exports. Singapore (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, the biggest increases were recorded for Thailand (with a CAGR of X%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.

In value terms, Malaysia ($X), Indonesia ($X) and the Philippines ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2023, together accounting for X% of total exports. Thailand and Singapore lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Thailand, with a CAGR of X%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.

The export price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2023, shrinking by X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when the export price increased by X%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2022, and then dropped rapidly in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2023, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($X per ton), while Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2023, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Thailand (X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in South-Eastern Asia

In 2023, supplies from abroad of unwrought tin alloys increased by X% to X tons, rising for the third consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, imports, however, showed a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2023, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, unwrought tin alloys imports totaled $X in 2023. In general, imports, however, saw a slight downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2023, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Malaysia was the major importing country with an import of around X tons, which finished at X% of total imports. The Philippines (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Singapore (X%) and Thailand (X%). Indonesia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2023, average annual rates of growth with regard to unwrought tin alloys imports into Malaysia stood at X%. At the same time, the Philippines (X%) and Indonesia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Philippines emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of X% from 2012-2023.
