Exports in South-Eastern Asia

For the fourth year in a row, South-Eastern Asia recorded growth in shipments abroad of raw silk, which increased by X% to X tons in 2022. Over the period under review, exports recorded a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, raw silk exports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, exports posted significant growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

In 2022, Vietnam (X tons) was the key exporter of raw silk in South-Eastern Asia, committing X% of total export.
