Exports in South-Eastern Asia

In 2022, exports of pyrites in South-Eastern Asia surged to X tons, increasing by X% on the previous year's figure. Overall, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, pyrites imports declined to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports recorded a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by X% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then declined modestly in the following year.

Imports by Country

Thailand was the major importing country with an import of about X tons, which recorded X% of total imports. Indonesia (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a X% share, followed by Singapore (X%).

Thailand was also the fastest-growing in terms of the pyrites imports, with a CAGR of X% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Singapore (X%) and Indonesia (X%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of Thailand (X p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Indonesia (X p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest pyrites importing markets in South-Eastern Asia were Thailand ($X), Singapore ($X) and Indonesia ($X), with a combined X% share of total imports.

Thailand, with a CAGR of X%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, with a decrease of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a pronounced shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of X%.
