In 2022, overseas shipments of plastic parts for lamps and lighting fittings decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. Over the period under review, exports, however, posted a modest expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of X%. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, lamp plastic parts exports fell notably to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, posted a buoyant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by X%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then reduced dramatically in the following year.
Exports by Country
In 2022, Singapore (X tons), distantly followed by Thailand (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), the Philippines (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) were the main exporters of plastic parts for lamps and lighting fittings, together comprising X% of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main exporting countries, was attained by the Philippines (with a CAGR of X%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.
