In general, consumption, however, showed a deep reduction. Exports in South-Eastern Asia

In 2021, electrical fuse exports in South-Eastern Asia rose markedly to X tons, picking up by 7.6% on 2020. The total export volume increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% over the period from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 22%. Over the period under review, the exports attained the maximum in 2021 and are likely to see gradual growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, electrical fuse exports rose markedly to $X in 2021. The total export value increased at an average annual rate of +2.3% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when exports increased by 22% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2021, Thailand (X tons), distantly followed by the Philippines (X tons), Singapore (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) represented the main exporters of electrical fuses, together achieving 95% of total exports. The following exporters - Malaysia (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) - together made up 5.4% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the leading exporting countries, was attained by Vietnam (with a CAGR of +11.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest electrical fuse supplying countries in South-Eastern Asia were the Philippines ($X), Thailand ($X) and Singapore ($X), together comprising 88% of total exports.

For the third consecutive year, South-Eastern Asia recorded decline in overseas purchases of electrical fuses, which decreased by -5% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a pronounced increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 191% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, electrical fuse imports soared to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.0% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.
