Cocoa Bean Exports

Exports in South-Eastern Asia

In 2022, overseas shipments of cocoa beans increased by X% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, cocoa bean exports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded a noticeable setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of X%. Malaysia represented the major exporting country with an export of around X tons, which recorded X% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Indonesia (X tons), creating an X% share of total exports. The Philippines (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
