In 2022, overseas shipments of cashew nuts decreased by X% to X tons, falling for the second consecutive year after two years of growth. Overall, exports continue to indicate a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, Indonesia ($X) remains the largest cashew nut supplier in South-Eastern Asia, comprising X% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Cambodia ($X), with a X% share of total exports. It was followed by Vietnam, with a X% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Indonesia totaled X%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Cambodia (X% per year) and Vietnam (X% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The export price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, almost unchanged from the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price continues to indicate a mild shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of X% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. From 2018 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons, and then declined markedly in the following year.
