In 2018, Namibia (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of watermelon to South Africa, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, watermelon imports from Namibia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tonnes), eightfold.

From 2007 to 2018, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Namibia stood at -X%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+X% per year) and Egypt (+X% per year).
