Uncoated Kraft Liner Market Size in South Africa

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2011 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, exports attained the peak of $X. From 2012 to 2020, the growth exports failed to regain the momentum.

Zimbabwe (X tonnes), Italy (X tonnes) and Spain (X tonnes) were the main destinations of uncoated kraft liner exports from South Africa, together comprising X% of total exports. Saudi Arabia, Belgium, the UK, Australia, Chile, Zambia, Kenya, New Zealand, the Philippines and China lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X 2007 to 2020, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by the Philippines, while exports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest markets for uncoated kraft liner exported from South Africa were Zimbabwe ($X), Italy ($X) and Spain ($X), with a combined X% share of total exports. For the third year in a row, South Africa recorded growth in supplies from abroad of uncoated kraft liner, which increased by X% to X tonnes in 2020. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate prominent growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, uncoated kraft liner imports skyrocketed to $X in 2020. In general, imports recorded buoyant growth. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2020, Brazil (X tonnes) constituted the largest supplier of uncoated kraft liner to South Africa, accounting for a X% share of total imports. Moreover, uncoated kraft liner imports from Brazil exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Australia (X tonnes), threefold.
