Exports from South Africa

In 2022, overseas shipments of non-self-propelled fork-lift trucks increased by X% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after three years of decline. Overall, exports, however, saw a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of X% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X units in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exports rose markedly to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of X%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Ghana (X units), Namibia (X units) and Botswana (X units) were the main destinations of non-self-propelled fork-lift truck exports from South Africa, together accounting for X% of total exports. Zambia, Mozambique, Angola, Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Swaziland, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Mali and Lesotho lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further X%.
