Exports from South Africa

In 2022, overseas shipments of corrugated paper and paperboard decreased by X% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Overall, exports, however, recorded a noticeable expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when exports increased by X% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, corrugated paper exports contracted rapidly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded pronounced growth.
